Bucharest Business Days 2015

Bucharest, 18 November. Over 36% of the entrepreneurs in Bucharest and the southern region of Romania state they would like to learn from the best leaders in the field how to build a successful strategy, to develop a marketing plan (33%) and to perfect their negotiation skills (31%). In their opinion, the most promising fields for development are IT&C (85%), agriculture (61%) and software development (60%).

The entrepreneurs in Bucharest and the southern region of Romania consider that developing and motivating staff is the main issue they are facing at the moment, according to a study carried out by Business Days Romania, in the period October-November on a sample of 230 entrepreneurs and managers in Bucharest and the surrounding cities. To the question “What are the main issues that businesspeople in the region are facing?” the participants to the study mentioned developing and motivating staff as the most important field. Besides, businesspeople in the region accuse excessive bureaucracy, the difficult taxation system and fiscal unpredictability as the biggest challenges to their business.

Other problems that entrepreneurs in the area are facing are taxation, branding and strategy setting. As for the expectations of businesspeople from the central administration, only 27% of the respondents stated they were “very high”. At the same time, entrepreneurs said the involvement of local authorities in supporting the businesses in the region is very weak (38%).

The entrepreneurs consider the fields where the southern region of our country can perform are IT&C (85%), agriculture (61.9%), software industry (60.3%), services (58.7%) and tourism (46%). The study carried out by Business Days Romania also reveals that the most important factors for the success of a business are the team, innovation and networking.

“The entrepreneurs in the southern region of Romania are looking for solutions for the development of their business given the fact that administrative challenges can slow down the pace of growth of their business. To this end, the advice, the successful models and the networking sessions help them find the best path to success. We believe that the experience of other entrepreneurs is as useful as possible for those who are determined to follow their dream and have the ambition to go further”, said Laszlo Pacso, founder and coordinator of Business Days.
